Making Palm Crosses for Palm Sunday!
Two days before Palm Sunday, a group of Residents gathered during the regular Friday music session to make palm crosses and to prepare candles for the Easter Vigil procession. Many of the Residents had never made palm crosses before, but with Tim from the Activities Department’s help, a You Tube video on the big screen provided the helpful step-by-step instructions. Tim and Sr. John provided individual guidance as needed, and the project was a success. It was great to see how many Residents were intent on mastering the task, even though it was not easy for them. Of course, also listening to a selection of their favorite songs while they worked made for a very pleasant Friday afternoon.
